Eye surgery opens up the eye, especially the upper lid, by removing excess skin and fat.

Lower lids contain excess tissue but extreme care is necessary to deal with this correctly, due to laxity and gravity that tends to round-out the lid margin. At times, less needs to be removed and/or special suspension is required.

Good lid closure is important and requires meticulous analysis and tissue removal.
